Was there for 11 months, I felt like I hAd completed my program and good works yet they continued to not let me leave. I needed hip replacement surgery and they still would not allow me to go home. My husband came for visitation one month an airplane ticket and I @escaped” during. It’s expensive too.

My name is Brook McKenzie and I am a graduate of the Burning Tree Recovery Ranch program. When I arrived at treatment with Burning Tree my family were absolutely terrified that they would lose me to my addiction. They had tried everything in their power to help me over the years; multiple treatment centers, new medications, new counselors and new therapist, geographical moves, desperate pleadings, heart-wrenching appeals; they even tried tough love - all to no avail. My parents sent me here after 5 failed attempts at inpatient rehab. Frankly, I was miserable a lot there, but I'll tell you what: a year after I left I've got a job, my own place and am supporting myself for the first time ever. BT is not a joke, it's intense, but the rewards are beyond words. I have a relationship with my mom again and I couldn't be more grateful.
